Ban imposed on release of Indian Films on PAF cinemas-October 2012

Pakistan Air Force has imposed ban on release of Indian films in PAF Cinemas. On the other hand cinema contractor has submitted application against this decision with the plea that since Pakistani films are not being produced regularly so cinema business would be badly affected with this ban. It is worth mentioning that previously there were forty (40) PAF cinemas in Pakistan but with the fall of cinema business in Pakistan there are only four PAF cinemas, presently working and these are PAF Cinema Lahore, Rawalpindi, Peshawar and Sargodha (Shaheen). Being located in posh areas only Hollywood and Bollywood films are being released on these cinemas. PAF authorities have passed the instructions to all base commanders to implement this ban forthwith.
