Mahmood Khan

 

 

 

Renowned comedian and stage actor, Mahmood Khan passed away at Mayo Hospital on July 24, 2014 after prolonged ailment. Khan was suffering from kidney problem and diabetes-related ailment from last two years. He was under treatment in Mayo hospital from one week and breathed his last in midnight of 23/24 July 2014. Because of his ailment and fall on showbiz activities it became very difficult to meet both ends. In his lateral part of life Mahmood Khan was unable to afford treatment and had protested in Lahore Press Club and requested Punjab government to help him out in serious financial crises, but his request was not taken into account.

 

Mahmood Khan was born in 1960 and at a very young age he joined showbiz through stage plays and then he did performed in TV and film but during his last spell of career he focused on stage plays. Because of his heavy built he chosen comedy line in his professional career and did it very well. Mahmood Khan delivered hilarious performance in countless stage dramas and accumulated audience appreciation thanks to his unique style. He also acted in more than a dozen films, most of which were chart busters.

Mahmood’s funeral prayer was offered after Zuhr prayer following which he was laid to rest in Scheme Roundabout, Shah Farid Graveyard, Lahore.
