Majeed Zarif, another member of Zarif family, who was the youngest brother of Zarif and was born on April 1, 1948 in Lahore. After basic education he joined WAPDA. But due to untimely death of Munawar Zarif who left many films uncompleted so producers rushed towards Majeed Zarif for completion of left over films as he had close resemblance with Munawar Zarif. Thats how, Majeed Zarif appeared as a comedian in Pakistan filmdom. Being a younger brother of comedy kings like Zarif and Munawar Zarif he debut his film career in 1972 but his fluency and timings in dialogue delivery was not compatible with his predecessors as it was anticipated so throughout his film life he remained a supporting film comedian. Though he was given a lead chance in Abid Shujah’s Ghareeb Da Baal (1978) and supporting roles in Rustam Te Khan (1983) and Pagal De Puttar (1986) but unfortunately he could not achieve the heights and repute like his brothers.
Disappointed from films, Majeed Zarif also appeared in many TV dramas and Stage show / dramas.
Majeed Zarif was blessed with two sons, one died at early age whereas second son Ateeq Majeed who is serving in bank and being religious minded never went to cinematic world.
