Shahzad Haider

Director Shahzad Raza belonged to Qadirpur Multan. He started his film career as Assistant Film Director with Nasir and then he attached with Naseem Haider Shah and Anjam Pervez. Almost 30 films are on his credit.

In 2002, he debut his film career as film director when Choudhry Muhammad Safdar Gujar decided to make a Punjabi film named Tofa Piyar Da. Film has major cast and it was released in September 20, 2002. Subsequently he did eight more films in his career. At the time of his demise he was the busiest Punjabi film director and his many films were on set. Mostly he made formula Punjabi films with typical standard. His films include Dil Diyan Lagian, Jagga, Khushi, Killer, Puttar Makhan Gujjar Da, Ranjhay Hath Gandasa, Tohfa Piyar Da, Zindagi Guzaro Hass Ke, Paidaishi Ghunda, Tawaif and Dada Pota.




Personal Life

Shahzad Haider married twice, he was keeping one family at Lahore and other one at his hometown, Qadirpur Multan. From both wives he had two children each.



Demise of the Artist

On March 17, 2018. After carrying out shooting of his film at Evernew Studios Lahore he reached his home located at Madina Chowk Sabza Zar Lahore felt numbness in his hand fingers so he was evacuated to Lahore hospital where he suffered with hemorrhage and subsequently died on same day. His body was moved to his hometown and funeral prayers were held at Qadirpur Multan. He left behind two widows and four children.
